Battery Temperature Test Chamber for Cells, Modules and Battery Packs

A configurable environmental chamber for evaluating battery performance, charging/discharging behavior and reliability under controlled hot and cold conditions. The published temperature platform extends from approximately −60°C to +150°C, while chamber size, electrical interfaces and safety systems are selected for the specific cell, module or pack.

What a Battery Temperature Chamber Evaluates

Battery performance changes with temperature. Low temperature can increase internal resistance and reduce available power or charge acceptance; high temperature can accelerate degradation and intensify the consequences of an internal fault. A controlled chamber lets engineers reproduce the required thermal condition while measuring voltage, current, capacity, resistance, temperature and functional behavior with external equipment.

This product is intended for environmental and performance testing—not as a universal substitute for every battery abuse tester. The chamber, cycler, instrumentation and safety controls must be engineered as one test system.

Safety boundary: never place an energized lithium battery in a standard environmental chamber without a documented hazard assessment and an approved battery-testing configuration.

Battery definition

Provide chemistry, format, dimensions, mass, nominal voltage, capacity, stored energy, quantity and state-of-charge range.

Test definition

Supply the standard/revision, temperature profile, ramp, dwell, cycling state, duration and acceptance criteria.

Heat-load calculation

Identify charge/discharge current, battery losses, cycler cables and any equipment located inside the chamber.

Interface design

Specify high-current cables, voltage taps, thermocouples, communications, cooling lines and connector requirements.

Hazard assessment

Define credible failure modes, gas release, fire, pressure and electrolyte hazards with the laboratory EHS team.

Facility review

Confirm power, ventilation, exhaust route, drainage, access, floor loading, emergency response and separation distances.
