An approximately 800 L salt fog chamber with a 1600 × 1000 × 500 mm working space for corrosion testing of larger components and higher specimen quantities. Its corrosion-resistant PVC construction, continuous or periodic spray control and adjustable specimen rack support repeatable salt spray exposure for metals, coatings, fasteners, electronics and automotive parts.

What the “160” Configuration Provides

The “160” designation refers to the chamber’s 1600 mm internal width—not a 160 L capacity. With internal dimensions of 1600 × 1000 × 500 mm, the usable workspace is approximately 800 L.

This larger horizontal test area is intended for long panels, multiple coated coupons, automotive components, fasteners, electrical enclosures and other specimens that do not fit comfortably inside a small benchtop cabinet.

Selection point: usable capacity depends on specimen geometry, rack angle, spacing and the need to avoid direct interference with fog distribution or condensate runoff. Send a loading drawing before ordering.

Operation and Maintenance Priorities

  • Prepare the solution and adjust pH using the procedure specified by the governing standard.
  • Verify chamber and saturated-air temperatures before starting the formal exposure.
  • Check fog collection at the specified locations and interval; do not infer compliance from pressure alone.
  • Prevent specimens from contacting one another and avoid condensate runoff from one specimen onto another.
  • Rinse the spray circuit and nozzle with suitable purified water after testing to reduce salt crystallization.
  • Inspect air filters, seals, heaters, sensors, solution lines and safety alarms on a documented schedule.
  • Use calibration and cabinet-corrosivity checks required by the laboratory quality system.
Waste handling: do not assume used salt solution or acidic/copper-containing CASS solution can be discharged without treatment. Collection, neutralization and disposal must follow local regulations and the facility’s safety procedure.

3、Quais são os requisitos para o ambiente de instalação?
A temperatura ambiente deve estar entre 5 e 30℃, com uma humidade de no máximo 85% HR. O local deve estar afastado de fontes de calor e vibrações, e o chão deve ser plano e bem ventilado.

4、Como instalar corretamente o sistema de exaustão?
O tubo de exaustão deve estender-se verticalmente para fora, com um comprimento inferior a 30 metros e no máximo 10 cotovelos. Recomenda-se instalar um tubo "T" na extremidade para evitar refluxo.

5、Que qualidade de água deve ser utilizada?
Deve-se usar água destilada ou água desionizada ( resistividade > 50 kΩ·cm) para o gerador de vapor e pulverização, e água pura pode ser usada para preparação de água salgada.

6、Como ajustar a pressão de pulverização?
Defina a pressão de entrada para 2 kg/cm², e a pressão de pulverização deve manter-se estável em 1,00 ± 0,01 kgf/cm².

7、Como resolver o problema de volume de pulverização insuficiente?
Verifique a válvula de pressão (2kg para entrada e 1kg para pulverização), limpe o bico entupido ou aumente o volume de pulverização através do atomizador.

8、É normal uma flutuação de temperatura de ±2℃ na experiência?
Sim, o equipamento permite uma variação de temperatura de ±1℃ e uma flutuação de ±0,5℃; um superaquecimento inicial de 1-2℃ durante o aquecimento é normal.

9、Como lidar com o bloqueio do bico?
Enxague o canal de fluxo com água desionizada diariamente e desmonte o bico semanalmente para limpá-lo com uma agulha de 0,3mm.

10, O que deve ser feito antes de uma paragem prolongada?
Esvazie o depósito de salmoura e as tubagens, e lave com uma solução de ácido nítrico 5% para evitar cristalização. Depois, desligue a alimentação elétrica e de gás.

11, Quando deve ser substituído o filtro de ar?
