DR-H304-160 Salt Fog Test Chamber

An approximately 800 L salt fog chamber with a 1600 × 1000 × 500 mm working space for corrosion testing of larger components and higher specimen quantities. Its corrosion-resistant PVC construction, continuous or periodic spray control and adjustable specimen rack support repeatable salt spray exposure for metals, coatings, fasteners, electronics and automotive parts.

What the “160” Configuration Provides

The “160” designation refers to the chamber’s 1600 mm internal width—not a 160 L capacity. With internal dimensions of 1600 × 1000 × 500 mm, the usable workspace is approximately 800 L.

This larger horizontal test area is intended for long panels, multiple coated coupons, automotive components, fasteners, electrical enclosures and other specimens that do not fit comfortably inside a small benchtop cabinet.

Selection point: usable capacity depends on specimen geometry, rack angle, spacing and the need to avoid direct interference with fog distribution or condensate runoff. Send a loading drawing before ordering.

Operation and Maintenance Priorities

  • Prepare the solution and adjust pH using the procedure specified by the governing standard.
  • Verify chamber and saturated-air temperatures before starting the formal exposure.
  • Check fog collection at the specified locations and interval; do not infer compliance from pressure alone.
  • Prevent specimens from contacting one another and avoid condensate runoff from one specimen onto another.
  • Rinse the spray circuit and nozzle with suitable purified water after testing to reduce salt crystallization.
  • Inspect air filters, seals, heaters, sensors, solution lines and safety alarms on a documented schedule.
  • Use calibration and cabinet-corrosivity checks required by the laboratory quality system.
Waste handling: do not assume used salt solution or acidic/copper-containing CASS solution can be discharged without treatment. Collection, neutralization and disposal must follow local regulations and the facility’s safety procedure.

3. Quelles sont les exigences pour l'environnement d'installation ?
La température ambiante doit être comprise entre 5 et 30℃, avec une humidité ne dépassant pas 85% HR. L'emplacement doit être éloigné des sources de chaleur et des vibrations, et le sol doit être plat et bien ventilé.

4. Comment installer correctement le système d'échappement ?
Le tuyau d'échappement doit s'étendre verticalement vers l'extérieur, avec une longueur inférieure à 30 mètres et pas plus de 10 coudes. Il est recommandé d'installer un tuyau en "T" à l'extrémité pour éviter le reflux.

Vérifiez la vanne de pression (2kg pour l'admission et 1kg pour la pulvérisation), nettoyez la buse bouchée ou augmentez le volume de pulvérisation via l'atomiseur.

8. Une fluctuation de température de ±2℃ est-elle normale lors de l'expérience ?
Oui, l'équipement permet une déviation de température de ±1℃ et une fluctuation de ±0,5℃ ; une surchauffe initiale de 1-2℃ pendant le chauffage est normale.

9. Comment gérer le blocage de la buse ?
Rincer le canal d'écoulement avec de l'eau déionisée quotidiennement et démonter la buse chaque semaine pour la nettoyer avec une aiguille de 0,3 mm.

10, Que doit-on faire avant une mise hors service à long terme ?
Vider le réservoir de saumure et les canalisations, puis rincer avec une solution d'acide nitrique 5% pour éviter la cristallisation. Ensuite, couper l'alimentation électrique et l'alimentation en gaz.
