Guangdong Province has abolished 12 local metrological verification regulations.

Recently, the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration issued Announcement No. 27 of 2025, officially repealing 12 local metrological verification regulations of Guangdong Province, including the Verification Regulation for Vehicle Travel Data Recorders with Satellite Positioning. The announcement stipulates that the aforementioned regulations shall cease to be effective from the date of issuance.

According to the announcement, this decision to repeal is based on a review and evaluation of Guangdong's local metrological technical specifications, aiming to strengthen the management of related regulations. A total of 12 regulations have been repealed, with code numbers ranging from JJG(粤)013-2009 to JJG(粤)075-2023. The earliest was formulated in 2009, and the most recent in 2023.

The list of repealed regulations shows they cover areas including vehicle travel data recording, differential pressure measurement, electrical safety testing, construction material testing, surveying instruments, air tightness detection, environmental monitoring, water quality analysis, electric power metering, satellite navigation and positioning, and civilian weighing instruments. Among them, aside from the Verification Regulation for Vehicle Travel Data Recorders with Satellite Positioning, other repealed regulations include the Verification Regulation for Pointer-type Differential Pressure Gauges, the Verification Regulation for Touch Current Testers, the Verification Regulation for Global Navigation Satellite System Receivers (Geodetic and Navigation Types), and the Verification Regulation for Pointer-type Weighing Scales.

Relevant industries and technical institutions should take note of this adjustment and carry out corresponding work in accordance with currently effective national metrological verification regulations or updated technical specifications.
