For products with 5–10 year outdoor warranties — building materials, automotive exterior trim, solar panel backsheets, outdoor furniture, marine equipment — a short-term UV screening test is insufficient. The OEM needs to know how the material performs after 5000+ hours of accelerated UV exposure, which simulates 10+ years of field service.
